Christmas Recital 2012

I am still tap dancing. I started in September 2010, the year my grandmother would have been 100. It's been two years and I love the ladies I tap with. We laugh a lot and share in life's ups and downs. I can't say I will ever give Shirley Temple a run for her money, but I do know the sevens, soft shoe, and shuffle ball-change. This was at our Christmas recital - for the local veterans at the VA hospital. The recitals are not my favorite part. But the laughter makes it worth it.

December cards mailed

December was blingy and no sentiment, maybe brads or gems. Very shiny fun cards this month. They are made by: Cheri, Becky, Tina (top row) and Barb, Sandy, and Nancy (bottom row). January's theme is masculine, and I am done already, which is rare. Must have gotten bit by Monica's "January is a productive month" bug.

All caught up.....

Current month of the wool block of the month is done. Lots of stitching in this one.  January seems to be a good month for getting things done.

Last minute finishes of 2012

The Birds & Berries pincushion and scissors case were finished by 11:00 pm, the main piece was stitched in 2005, these two are dated 2012. And by 11:45, I had finished the water on the Nantucket ornament from 1997. Mom and I went to our first big needlework retreat in Nantucket. It was so beautiful and we had so much fun together. This is a wonderful memory of that. These two are for the finishing pile.

Happy New Year to all....
