Dinner at St Louis House of Fine Ice Cream

And churros! We started with the ice cream but after seeing the churros, had to get them too.  Delicious....better than Taco  Johns. Walked a lot and rode the bus to scrapbook store, quilt store, and train museum. Really lovely city and friendly people. Though we have been asked twice if we were from Canada...they say Americans are ok with being asked that but Canadians don't like being asked if they are Americans...so err on the side of caution.

Leaving for the Ghan train soon. WiFi hopefully tomorrow night with train pictures.

Brisbane here we are

The 14 hour flight wasn't as bad as we thought, helped to be tired and it was dark almost the entire flight. The view as we landed was awesome....we were reminded it was their winter, but the temp of 59 degrees was a great winter compared to Missouri. Met a couple returning to Perth from getting married in Vegas....both wondered why we were going to Adelaide.  Seems there is a big rivalry between Perth and Adelaide. Waiting on our flight to Adelaide,  airports here are much more lax than at home, no shoe removal and no id check for security. And customs was a breeze.

First of seven plane rides

Flight to LAX was uneventful. Airport is totally crazy...Fred Segal, Hugo Boss, Michael Kors.....way different than the East Terminal in St Louis. We are not in Kansas anymore. Flight was delayed until 12:30 am. Should sleep well. Met two guys from Bowling Green, MO who are going to Cairns to work on the skylift over the rain forest. We told them to do good work because we ride it next week. Small world.

Nantucket time again

It's time again for annual Nantucket baskets at Gina's house. Great food, friends, and baskets. This year was Amy's Market. Already have my two for next year set, Little Lizzie and a potbelly lamp for the bedroom.

Movin' on up....to the sky

Paul got a new pole for the bird feeder. Now he is eye level with them when he is working.

So far, the reviews are positive.
