Thankful

Lots of people are doing thankful posts on their blog. I saw something tonight that really reminded me of what I'm thankful for...four places at the dinner table. An extra bonus is rice AND noodles with the Swedish meatballs. Everyone's happy.

Ramblings.....

Why do you always need the dish that is in the clean dishwasher before you've emptied it....forcing you to empty it?
Why does your son have "no jeans that fit" the night before a dress out day at school?
Why does a certain grocery store not carry German chocolate?
Why do I never have "fresh" marshmallows for rice krispy treats? I know I never make them, but then why do I have rice krispies? And if I buy "fresh" marshmallows, why don't I use them right away?
Why does fountain Diet Dr Pepper taste so good?

The last item will be my saving grace as I go on a jean run tonight....say a prayer for me.

Came home today to this nice surprise on my front porch. Thanks so much Becky, you certainly made my day special.

And the roses are from my hubby.....he's such a sweetie. Thank goodness I had asked him to stop and get yellow roses for mom for their anniversary. I wasn't even thinking of me, but since they jumped into his hands, I'll take them.

2nd coolest thing I've ever done!

For those of you who don't know any better, that IS NOT the real Gene Simmons standing next to me.....but I had to get a picture with this guy, and I wasn't the only one. As I told Paul, next to marrying him, this was the second coolest thing I'd ever done. The night was priceless and worth every penny. KISS played for 2 hours, which meant 2 hours of standing! Buckcherry opened up, not stand worthy. The confetti reigned down for "Rock 'n Roll All Night." The United Center was packed. We took 264 pictures, not all good, but some great. When the concert was over, I called Chris and made a huge mistake by saying the concert was "fabulous." Apparently that's the first time in KISS history that "fabulous" was used to describe their concert...according to Chris. But, in talking with my mom, she said that the "old guys" really know how to put on a concert. She's speaking from experience since she saw Rod Stewart.
