Volleyball visit

Chris was in town for a big volleyball tournament. It was odd to spend three days watching volleyball because it's been a long time since Chris played in those kind of tournaments. I can honestly say-been there, done that, don't miss it. I'm not sure what was more stressful, watching him as a player, or watching his as a coach. He has the same strong desire to win and be the best, but isn't on the court to do the job. Very proud of him.
Brittany was with him and we had fun going to dinner with the team.
And on our way to the tournament, we saw what had to be the reason that Chris was so tired. Nothing says love like red solo cups.

Baskets & a babe

Picture taken 2/3/2014, 25 years prior, I was getting ready to walk down the aisle towards my best friend and babe. One of our adventures this month was to Houston to see trains, Becky, and the Texas basket conference. These are the baskets I wove, the largest black and tan one was a kit that I took to weave on my own. The others were woven in class. It was a great conference and a good time with fabulous women....mostly Becky!

Card club---Christmas style!

Card club was postponed due to weather, but Wednesday night was a blast. We chose these three cards and I loved them all-especially the Santa one. And I happen to have what I need to make more. A fun night with fun & creative people.

KC Marathon

I have never had aspirations (or the body type) to run a marathon. But I can say that watching someone you know & love run a marathon is wonderful. Karla, niece, ran a marathon in October in Kansas City. It was an early morning, but was incredible. She finished in 3 hours and 45 minutes...great time really. And she smiled the whole time. So proud to witness this feat and she's already training for one in April. You go girl!
