Annual Tree Picture(or 1st day of school pic)

First day of school for Caleb and that means we take our picture in front of the tree....didn't start out that way, but this tree has become the backdrop for most pictures around here.





Chris and Paul thought it would be funny to take a picture of me....taking a picture. Aren't they a riot! So here's what they see...often. If they wouldn't grow so fast, I wouldn't take so many pictures, but they are changing fast.

The food diary of Chris--at 9:15 a.m.

44 oz Dr Pepper
1 doughnut
2 White Castle Sausage/egg/cheese breakfast sandwiches
2 White Castle/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich
cookie from Sam's
cupcake from Sam's (conned it from the bakery lady as we were trying to order Paul's birthday cake.....she couldn't turn him down as he was drooling)

But now he's going to work out, so in his immortal words...."It's all good."

Ok....I now realize that August is the month of birthdays. And a special one is today....my friend Carole. Here is the birthday queen herself..........Happy Day to you, this day and everyday.

Fair time 2009

Caleb took his steer JD to the fair....actually it was the first and last fair for the steer. They are sold and follow their own circle of life. Caleb did GREAT! He got second in his class (middle weights) and looked like a pro. I am so proud of him.

This is our friend Kylie who came with her mom and grandparents to see Caleb show. It was a long hot morning, but the funnel cake made it better.

The first picture is Paul at 20, and here he is at almost 40. He's with his buddies who all turned 40 in the last year, Paul being the last one. I've been lucky enough to spend over half of his life with him....and every year it gets better and better. Happy Birthday to my hubby!
