Decorating

A couple weeks ago we took down the "Shrine o' Chris" that was his room and completed the transformation into office/spare room. I was able to hang the coverlet quilt that mom made in Paducah last year. Not sure if she officially gave it to me or I just claimed it, but I love it.

Happy 45th Anniversary

11-11-11.....45th anniversary for my parents. 45 years to love each other and to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and bad.....together.
Blessed.

Lola's, laughter, and love

Spent a couple days on a girls' road trip. Exhausted, but tired, we made it home. We survived Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland and Indianapolis. Had lunch at Lola's, Michael Symon's restaurant in Cleveland. We also visited the West Side Market, had lunch at Miss Molly's in Medina, shopped, laughed and loved every minute of it. I wouldn't trade time with these women for anything. Met new friends, who fit in like they were old friends. We also crafted with Fran and Monica. And Monica's hands should be insured by Lloyd's of London. The talent was limitless.

Here Come the Mummies

Chris recommended we go to a concert at The Pageant, Here Come the Mummies. Said it was in his Top 5 list of concerts. Well, as usual, Chris doesn't disappoint. Awesome show, great horns, lots of fun. Will for sure see them again; bonus would be to do it with Chris.

Minneapolis: shopping & food

Paul was going to Minneapolis for work and I was able to go with him for a little mini-vaca. It was full of shopping and food...at least I shopped while he worked. Lands End Outlets, scrapbooking, Crafts Direct, outlet mall and no sales tax on clothing. A girl's dream.
Here is the capital where Jessie Ventura worked...beautiful at night.

This is the phone at Matt's, home of the original Juicy Lucy. This is a burger with two thin patties and a ball of cheese in the middle, grilled to perfection. Paul had been there already and couldn't wait to take me. He said when the phone rings too much, they just take it off the hook. Burger...A+. But you can't bite into it too fast...hot cheese!

And this is the Rack Shack. Found this on Man vs. Food Nation-St Paul right before we went to Minneapolis. Bar-b-que was awesome, corn fritters....ooh la la!
