Kentucky Lake projects

Mom put together her wool quilt in Kentucky. It is a smaller block than what I am working on, but still wool appliqued on cotton background. It is stunning. Monica brought a kit for us each to make a small collapsible container to put our threads in. It is so neat and uses a 4" hoop and a fat quarter of fabric. Monica and Carole had a new pattern using a jelly roll that they did on the first day.I liked some fabric at Hancocks, so mom put it together for me.Carole had snowman fabric and the two on the right are Monica and my quilts using the same fabric.Carole also did the quilt on the left. Monica made a hexagon quilt top using her scraps, pictured on the bottom. I thought it was so neat, I bought a layer cake of Blackbird fabric and cut out the hexagons myself. Mine is on the top, laid out on the design wall. Now for my piecer to piece the quilt....thanks mom!
