Cute Pics

Here's the #1 son when he is about 6 months I think. But since he's standing at the coffee table, it sure seems like he would be a bit older. Mom had this cow that walked and then moo'd when you turned it on. He loved it. It's hard to believe that he's now 20.

Paul's Big Adventure

Or should I say "big project." Paul is working on a retaining wall on our driveway. Exhibit A....old wall, old landscape railroad ties, just ughh.

Exhibit B...start of the new, well researched and planned, concrete landscape bricks. Since they are calling for rain tomorrow, he wanted to get the first couple rows in, so I came home to the nice light (and Black Sabbath playing in the garage). He doesn't do anything second class....he not only reads "This Old House", he lives it.

Wayback machine.....early scrapbooking

Apparently I have had some scrapbooking in my blood for a while. Here are some pages from an old album. I like how I cut out the titles from construction paper and have labeled the pictures. I took the pictures OUT of the old magnetic photo albums. It was a lot of college and some miscellaneous things from when I was younger like these two pages. I did a summer working (though I think it was free) at The Gingerbread House which was a daycare where I grew up. Other photos were: sorority formals, coworkers at The Fox Theater, Myrtle Beach with my roommate Barb, my first roses from a guy named Dennis, and spring break at Walt Disney World with my mom and dad----the best trip.

Old people fun and first time blood donor

So Paul and I went to see Toy Story 1 & 2 3D the other day.....old people fun according to the 20 year old. Even the 16 year old didn't want to come with us. Well, from sneaking in my Diet Dr Pepper to enjoying Goobers....it WAS fun for us...brought back lots of memories. Mostly for Toy Story 1, we even have Woody still.
I know you are all jealous of the Roy Orbison glasses, and yes, we did turn them in.

And today Caleb donated blood for the first time. He is following in the line of his dad and brother. I, of course, have only given blood maybe twice...don't like the needles or the dripping of the blood.

Charmed, I'm sure

I had finished the friendship project for 2009, except we had exchanged charms to be put on. I'm no a hand sewer and had put off adding the charms, especially since it was already finished. But tonight I bit the bullet and put them on. Lisa and June's charms were put on the pincushion as well as the pin that Carole gave us. I put the charms from Monica, Kristin, and Carole by their initials on the right stitched piece. I love how it turned out. Still have to add my charm and my mom's, but this is a big deal for me.
